Student Success and Well-Being – Office of Student Financial Assistance: 

The Office of Student Financial Assistance, a unit within Student Success and Well-Being, is dedicated to supporting UCF's mission and goals through the efficient delivery of student aid. The Office provides UCF students with a comprehensive offering of financial assistance options to support student success and the attainment of a university degree.

The Opportunity:

UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being Office of Student Financial Assistance is currently accepting applications for a Financial Aid Specialist. As an Enrollment Services Professional, you will participate in activities related to academic admissions, registration, financial aid services, and orientation for current and potential university students. Admissions Professionals recruit, evaluate, and participate in the selection of candidates for admission. Additional key tasks will include coordinating with all organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process as well as advising applicants and parents about educational planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Advises and counsels students and parents regarding the financial aid process.

  • Analyzes and evaluates student financial needs.

  • Advises on availability of financial assistance.

  • Participates in outreach activities and presentations to students, parents, high school counselors, and the community in workshops and training sessions.

  • Attends professional workshops, meetings, and training sessions for professional development and to keep abreast of current rules and regulations.

  • Reviews and evaluates eligibility for loans.

  • Coordinates loan certifications and disbursement of funds.

  • Monitors loans for compliance.

  • Manages student files.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).

  • Knowledge of Zoom.
