WUCF TV & FM are Central Florida's public media stations, licensed to the University of Central Florida. As the area's only PBS-affiliate and jazz station, we work to serve the 16th largest media market in the country.

The Opportunity:
The Gift Administration Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive administrative, financial, and compliance management of gifts. This includes processing, reconciling, reviewing gift-in-kind donations, invoicing, and generating reports, while collaborating closely with WUCF teams, UCF Finance, and the UCF Foundation to ensure accurate and efficient gift processing.
Responsibilities:
Gift Processing and Reconciliation: Oversee the daily reconciliation, review, and analysis of all donations received from individuals, businesses, and grant-making institutions. Ensure accurate classification, processing, and comprehensive documentation across all relevant systems.
Financial Data Entry and Compliance: Accurately input and code all financial contributions, meticulously verifying accuracy and adherence to university policies and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations.
Gift-in-Kind Management: Manage the complete lifecycle of gift-in-kind donations, including verifying eligibility according to IRS guidelines, coordinating all necessary documentation, and diligently guiding forms through internal review, approval, and signature processes.
Donor Record and Receipt Generation: Generate accurate donor records, official tax receipts, and invoices for charitable gifts and pledges, ensuring full compliance with audit standards and the specific intentions of donors.
Data Management and Reporting: Compile and meticulously maintain comprehensive donation data. Produce both scheduled and ad hoc reports to support various needs and actively contribute to maintaining data integrity across all donor systems and financial platforms.
Refund Processing: Efficiently process donor refund requests in close collaboration with relevant departments, ensuring timely communication with donors and thorough documentation of the process.
Project and Event Support: Provide crucial support for special projects and committee work, including WUCF fundraising campaigns, donor cultivation events, and community engagement initiatives.
Donor Due Diligence and Compliance: Conduct thorough due diligence on donor eligibility, including screening against federal compliance lists (e.g., terrorist watch list), and perform other assigned duties to ensure secure and compliant gift processing practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Prior experience within a university or nonprofit setting is highly desirable.
Proven experience in gift processing and a strong understanding of charitable giving regulations and philanthropic/fundraising best practices.
Demonstrated experience in nonprofit financial operations, including account reconciliations and the implementation of process improvements.
Experience with CRM platforms relevant to development and fundraising (e.g., Blackbaud, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge).
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data research and reporting.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,722- $59,684. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
