The Opportunity:
The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) Dean’s Office is seeking candidates for a Program Coordinator position. The CCIE Project Coordinator position will support the College's strategic initiatives, faculty excellence, staff development, all graduate student funding and assistantship assignments, reporting to the Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Faculty Excellence. This position also will support the Associate Dean and the CCIE Dean's Office strategic initiatives that align with the University's Strategic Plan, including academic and administrative unit fiscal viability and efficacy, degree program enrollment planning, evaluation of partnership and community engagement efforts, and promotion of graduate programs' reputation and college identity.
Responsibilities:
Serves as first point of contact to support the UCF and CCIE faculty excellence processes, including overseeing the day-to-day of the following for the associate dean: (a) Procedures and Committee Elections, (b) Post-Tenure Review, (c) Promotion and Tenure, (d) Annual Evaluation Standards and Procedures (AESP), (e) Faculty Awards (e.g., RIA, SOTL, TIP, Excellence in Awards), (f) Sabbaticals, (g) Emeritus Faculty, (h) College Governance (with Faculty Council), (i) Interfolio, (j) Cumulative Process Evaluation (CPE), and (i) Faculty Grievances.
In conjunction with the associate dean, oversees the CCIE faculty excellence initiatives and implementing (a) mentoring initiatives in teaching and scholarship, (b) New Hire Orientations, (c) trainings and workshops to promote faculty members' understanding of awards and evaluation processes, (d) faculty open forums, (e) monthly meetings with academic unit leaders, and (f) CCIE Faculty Social.
Manages college-level funding of graduate students, including student account payments, graduate assistantships (maintaining the College's tuition waiver allocations and processing assignments), and fellowships (processing all graduate student funding and assistantships with an estimated budget of over $1 million).
Works with the associate dean on college-level initiatives to promote the ranking, recognition, and reputation of programs across CCIE, including the doctoral student travel funding initiative.
Coordinates various projects, tasks, and functions to help sustain faculty excellence efforts for the CCIE Senior Associate Dean of Faculty and Operational Excellence.
Aids in the CCIE strategic enrollment strategies and budget model alignment.
Serves as a Dean's Office liaison with CCIE academic units and university offices.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Experience working in higher education, preferably at UCF
Experience working with graduate students
Experience working with faculty in higher education
Project or program management experience
