The Community Counseling and Research Center (CCRC) is a state-of-the-art clinical training facility that is housed within the College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE). The CCRC offers free supervised mental health services, provided by graduate students in the counselor education graduate programs, to over 1200 community members annually (in individual, couples, and family counseling modalities). The Counselor Education program offers the following CACREP-accredited programs: Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A.); Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy (M.A.); School Counseling (M.A., M.Ed.); Educational Specialist Degree in School Counseling (Ed.S.); and the Doctoral degree in Education—Counselor Education track (Ph.D.). The Opportunity:
The Department of Counselor Education and School Psychology (CESP) in the College of Community Innovation & Education (CCIE) at the University of Central Florida is currently accepting applications for a Program Manager I. This candidate should be a dynamic individual with strong clinical, supervision, leadership, and interpersonal skills to join our department as the Program Manager of the Community Counseling and Research Center (CCRC).
The Program Manager of the CCRC works with the Chair of the Department of Counselor Education and School Psychology to ensure the functional operations of the CCRC, which includes training graduate counseling students, providing effective and ethical therapeutic services to clients, and strengthening partnership with mental health agencies and schools throughout Central Florida.
This position is located on the Main Orlando campus of UCF and is a 12-month administrative and professional (A&P) position with full UCF benefits. The selected candidate will be expected to teach at least one Practicum course each semester, including summer semesters.
Responsibilities:
Administrative leadership of CCRC including the supervision of CCRC staff members, training and management of Practicum instructors, provision of clinical orientation sessions, enrollment in Practicum sections, development of annual reports, and management of budgetary and financial matters.
Clinical supervision and training including the oversight of administrative and clinical supervision of graduate students enrolled in Practicum courses, including quality assurance.
Provision of counseling services and crisis management including program effectiveness of therapeutic service delivery and crisis management protocols.
Foster community outreach and partnerships including building and refining relationships with mental health agencies and schools throughout Central Florida to support client outcomes and recruitment.
Lead program evaluation efforts to assess the effectiveness of CCRC programs and initiatives.
Lead at least one Practicum course each semester.
Ethical compliance of the CCRCs operations, ensuring alignment with relevant legal and professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.
Preferred Qualifications:
An earned master's or doctoral degree in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program.
Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Florida.
Qualified Clinical Supervisor (LMHC and/or LMFT) status in the state of Florida.
Minimum of two years of experience in clinical program management or leadership within a mental health agency.
Minimum of two years of experience providing clinical supervision.
Evidence of strong written communication and interpersonal skills
Evidence of experience with problem-solving and crisis management.
Experience with budgets and financial management.
Experience with securing grant funding.
Experience with graduate-level teaching.
Experience with community engagement and collaboration initiatives.
Experience with conducting program evaluation and research.
