WUCF FM & TV are an NPR-affiliated public radio station and a PBS-affiliated public television station, licensed to and located at the University of Central Florida.

The Opportunity: 

The Senior Producer position will pitch and research stories, write scripts, act as a videographer in production, and help shape editorial high-quality content for WUCF on multiple platforms. The position will also work in a supportive role for the WUCF production team as needed. 

Responsibilities:

• Shoot and edit on WUCF provided equipment.

• Research and pitch stories that align with content strategies and goals.

• Writes and edits scripts under deadline.

• Edit broadcast and digital content.

• Supports production with studio and field production and other duties as assigned.

• Understands and continues training and learning on WUCF television equipment.

• Recommends department objectives and workflows that create better efficiencies using new technologies.

• Under leadership of the Managing Producer, works to create new programs and services to help further the WUCF mission and vision.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior videography experience.

• Prior Producer experience.

• Knowledge of Adobe software systems.

• Prior digital content creation experience.
