The Opportunity:
The Study Abroad Coordinator position reports to the Associate Director and is responsible for supporting partner and faculty-led study abroad programs, developing and implementing communications and outreach to students, and managing databases. This position will oversee application processing, student communication, faculty-led program development and execution, invoice negotiation and collection, program assessment, and general financial aid resources and advising. The coordinator works effectively as a leader and member of a team, provides direction, delegates, and possesses strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
Partners with UCF Faculty and Staff to create, develop, and grow study abroad opportunities.
Acts as backup support for any faculty needs or questions from initial discussion to return from the program.
Corresponds with providers, hosts universities, hotels, and tour operators to gather pricing and proposals.
Builds and revises budgets and all program materials as needed.
Advises students both walk in appointments and through email correspondence.
Guides students from interest, application, decision, and confirmation of participation in study abroad programs.
Reports and monitors student application progress, profile details, marketing materials, and procedures.
Supervises and oversees support employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Computer skills in MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
International travel and/or study abroad experience.
Experience with budget management.
Accounting experience is desirable.
Experience with Terra Dotta or similar application system, Workday, and PeopleSoft.
