The Opportunity:

UCF Communications and Marketing seeks experienced applicants for a Web Producer. The Web Producer is responsible for managing, maintaining, optimizing, developing, documenting, and testing the UCF website and all web assets focused on the overall student experience and brand reputation. The Web Content Specialist II is also responsible for publishing content, maintaining continuity of themes, designing layout, streamlining navigation and increasing online presence to key audiences by developing web and digital marketing strategies.

Classification Title: Web Content Specialist II

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members, vendors, and campus partners on web content management, optimization, and performance for UCF.edu, ensuring cohesive digital experiences that align with the university’s brand and audience needs.

  • Participate in Design team discussions and regularly connect with Social, PR, Strategy and Communications colleagues to develop integrated, cross-channel experiences for UCF’s key audiences.

  • Assess and help define website project scope, schedules, and deliverables, working in an agile environment to produce high-quality marketing assets efficiently and collaboratively.

  • Partner with IT counterparts to update, maintain, and improve systems and tools that support the UCF.edu infrastructure, while identifying opportunities to enhance productivity through AI technologies and automation.

  • Develop web content and experiences that strengthen UCF’s brand reputation, drive student engagement and enrollment, and improve search visibility through compelling visual storytelling and user-centered design.

  • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives that bring creative content to life - bridging content, design, interactivity, and user experience to deliver high-impact digital engagement.

  • Ensure consistent design, branding, accessibility, and user experience across all university web properties, advocating for best practices in usability and performance.

  • Stay current with emerging trends and tools in web design, development, user testing, digital content strategy, and AI-powered production, integrating innovation into daily workflows.

  • Assist with the management of email marketing distribution and deployment for campaigns, ensuring alignment and integration with broader web and digital marketing strategies.

  • Support special marketing and communications projects as needed, collaborating with internal teams to deliver strategic and on-brand digital solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in web production or digital strategy.

  • Experience scoping and managing web projects.

  • Strong knowledge of user testing and UX principles.

  • Experience with interactive design and animation.

  • Proven success in SEO and content marketing strategy.

  • Background in campaign-driven environments.
