The Opportunity:
Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving seeks qualified applicants for openings for Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement. The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement plays a critical role in developing and executing events, programs, and initiatives that drive alumni engagement and annual giving for an assigned college. We are hiring two separate positions, one serving the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) and one serving the College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE).
In this role, you will collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni volunteers to create meaningful experiences, foster alumni pride and increase participation in philanthropic initiatives. This position combines event management, volunteer leadership, communications, and relationship-building to strengthen the lifelong connection between alumni and UCF.

Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of strategic college-based events.
Oversee college alumni volunteer programs such as chapters, mentorship programs on the UCF Knights Network platform, and episodic engagement activities.
Recruit, train, and evaluate volunteers to ensure program success.
Partner on alumni engagement and annual giving communications, including email, web, social media, direct mail, text campaigns, and college publications.
Implement best practices to increase engagement through communications and outreach.
Conduct in-person, phone, and virtual outreach to activate strategic segments of alumni.
Leverage university-wide initiatives (e.g., National Networking Knight, Knights Give Back, Football Watch Parties) to expand engagement opportunities.
Increase participation in the UCF Knights Network platform and encourage repeat use.
Develop events that include giving components to increase alumni donor counts.
Ensure 100% alumni board member participation in giving.
Track, measure, and analyze alumni engagement activities in the university’s constituent database.
Champion UCF Day of Giving for your college, engaging faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Identify and recruit volunteer leaders for various boards and communities.
Nominate and coordinate recognition of outstanding alumni for awards and honors.
Log contact reports and share lead generation results with UCF Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in alumni relations, volunteer management, fundraising, event planning, or related field, preferably in higher education or nonprofit environments.
Demonstrated success in building and sustaining volunteer and donor relationships.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with alumni engagement platforms such as UCF Knights Network or similar systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or donor database systems.
Creative problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $48,722 - $59,684. The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above. All offers are contingent on successful background and reference screens.
This position requires occasional travel, and occasional work on nights and weekends.
